Lights and Buttons

The scanner has two indicator lights and two buttons.

Lights

Buttons

Light Functions

READY Turns on when the scanner is ready for scanning, and

flashes when the scanner is warming up and during

scanning.

In combination with the ERROR light, turns on, flashes,

or turns off to indicate a variety of error conditions.

ERROR In combination with the READY light, turns on, flashes,

or turns off to indicate a variety of error conditions.

Button Function

Operate

Turns the scanner on and off.

Start

When the scanner is connected directly to your

computer, can open an application of your choice, or

can scan and send the scanned image to a specified

application, depending on your operating system and

installed software. In a network environment, this

button starts the same operation as the Scan button in

EPSON TWAIN Pro Network.
