Uninstalling Printer Software
If you need to uninstall and reinstall your printer software, follow the steps for your
operating system.
Uninstalling Windows 95, 98, or NT 4.0 Software
Caution:
If you uninstall and then reinstall the printer software, you must also
uninstall and then reinstall Status Monitor 2 so it can recognize your
printer.
If you’re using Windows 98 with a USB connection, you must also
uninstall and then reinstall the EPSON USB Printer Device
software.
1. On your desktop, double-click My Computer, then double-click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
3. Click EPSON Printer Software in the program list.
4. Click the Add/Remove button and follow the instructions on screen.
5. If Status Monitor 2 is installed, you need to uninstall it also. First, right-click the
icon in the bottom-right corner of the taskbar and select Stop monitoring
now
to turn off background monitoring. Then return to Add/Remove
Programs
, select EPSON Status Monitor 2 in the program list, click the
Add/Remove button, and follow the instructions on screen.
6. If you’re using Windows 98 with a USB connection, you need to uninstall the
EPSON USB Printer Device software also. In the Add/Remove Programs
window, select EPSON USB Printer Device in the list, click the Add/Remove
button, and follow the instructions on screen.
